Turn your Macbook pink

MacBook Pros looks great, that’s not something we’re going to argue about. However, since we’re pinkies and all we like to see on our computers is pink, I’ll share with you a secret: although Apple is not offering MacBooks in pink, you can customize them yourself to become like so Nice ay?

In fact, there’s not big secret, it just involves getting a pink skin or case for you laptop. Besides the obvious looks matter, such a cover will also protect your device from scratches and dust, thus making it last longer. And of course, if you get tired of the skin, you can always peel it off and get the brushed aluminum face back for your MacBook Pro. A case however just replaces the aluminum one, and also, you can easily switch it back if needed.

There are in fact quite a few different types of pink skins and cases on the market, I for one divide them in simple and fancy. The simple ones offer just the matte color, while the fancy ones come with lots of pictures, shapes and all such crazy stuff. You can pick some nice skins and stickers from these designs.

As for cases, there’s actually not much to say about them, as they are all more or like the same. But based on my experience (or what my friends share) and overall reviews, you can choose from these three:

• Speck Satin rubberized case – a nice case that provides a smooth rubberized exterior and perfectly fits the 13 Inch MacBook Pro, allowing access to all ports and connectors. Runs right now on sale, for $37.99 , with a 25% discount from regular retail price .
• Speck polycarbonate See-tru case -  if you’re not satisfied with the griping rubberized case above, you can choose this stylish polycarbonate one, with a glossy look. Still provides great protection and accessibility, but just takes another approach. Price is somewhat similar, this case also being on sale for just under $37 right now .

• Pink mCover Hard Shell Case – this one is a snap-on protective hard shell case made out fo two pieces that perfectly fit the latest generation MacBook Pro and comes with a more affordable price than the ones above: can be yours for only $17.99 .

Click the links for each of them for more pictures and info, plus the option to buy one. I for one had the first in the series, the Speck rubberized one and was really satisfied with it. I replaced it with the standard aluminum case after a while though.

All in one, as you can see, it’s not at all difficult to personalize your MacBook Pro. All it takes is the proper pink case or skin/sticker and i do hope i was able to help you in finding just the right one for your tastes.

• Hello Kitty Liquid Mouse – this nice mouse for kids is compatible with both Macs and PCs and comes with a cool liquid surrounded Hello Kitty inside (like one of those crystal globes). I’m sure your child would love it and it’s definitely a nice catch, as you don’t find such mice on every corner and only costs $14.99
• Hello Kitty keyboard – and here’s also the matching keyboard to go along with the mouse above, with a pink Hello Kitty design. Comes with full-layout keys plus multimedia buttons and would be a great gift for a young girl. It costs a little too much though, as it sells for $49.99, but hey, just check out how good this keyboard actually looks.
• notebook bags branded with Hello Kitty – there are quite a few available, i only selected the two I considered best, based on specs, looks and reviews from other buyers: a pink sleeve for 10 inch netbooks and a bigger black&pink case for laptops up to 14 inch . A nice pink bag that would perfectly fit a Macbook or Macbook pro, but also any other 13.3 inch mini notebook. It’s made of water repellent material, comes with extra storage pockets that could come in handy for carrying a mouse or other stuff and has a fully adjustable (and even detachable) shoulder strap. And yes, it’s pink (but is also available in black) and only costs $24.40 , with a 50% discount.

Case Logic sleeve

Case Logic Reversible sleeve – $21.99

This one is not really a bag, but a sleeve, specially made to fit tight all the 13.3″ laptops, mostly because of the neoprene material used to made it. Neoprene is quite durable and nice looking.

And speaking of looks, you can see in the picture that this Case Logic sleeve is available in different colors (including pink), each with a custom design. And each sleeve has two reversible faces, so you’ll get two different cases in one, for the same price.

Mango Tango – $33.99

This is a shoulder case made by Tango, built from pink suede. It is meant to offer uneatable protection for your notebook, while looking good and being pretty cheap. It can fit any laptop 13.3″ or smaller and has elastic straps inside so you can use it with smaller devices also. The interior can be organized to fit your needs and also contains a phone secret pocket.

The Mango Tango case runs for $33.99 . Previous buyers liked it a lot, but it’s a light profile and slim one, so you should know you won’t be able to carry too many accessories or other stuff with it. For more details, reviews and photos, check out this link.

Macbook Pink Pouch

Apple Macbook Pink Pouch – $55.99

This is one of the best Macbook cases out there. It’s simple, high quality and still elegant, as some of the previous buyers characterize it. Of course, it’s not exclusively for Macs, it can fit any other similar devices.

The Mackbook Pink Pouch has a slim briefcase look, thus besides the shoulder strap, offers tuck-away handles . Is made out of high quality and durable nylon, so it will be very easy to maintain and clean and will probably last you until you’ll get bored of it without any aging signs.

Mobile Edge Komen Tote – $129.99

If you’re looking for a everyday shoulder bag that comes with a specially made compartment for your laptop that would ensure almost perfect protection for it, than you’re looking for a Mobile Edge Komen Tote bag. It’s pricey, as it usually retails for 200 bucks or more, but you can get it here with a nice discount, for just $129.99.

The good part about this pink sude bag, besides the impeccable looks, is the quality and the number of small features that would make your life a lot easier. For example, the laptop compartment is detachable, and so is the specially made cosmetics pouch, while the zippers use self-healing technology so they will last you a lot longer.

Anyway, if you’re looking for a premium bag for your 13.3 inch computer, i would suggest you see more details and reviews (by the way, previous buyers rate it 5 out 5) about this pink case.

New Vaio CW, in pink`

Sony recently announced their last line of Vaio notebooks for the next 6 months, and luckily, the Vaio CW got a new improved pink version. It combines the known Vaio looks and design with a vibrant pink and shinny exterior, making it a dream laptop for every woman or girl.

On the inside there are some impressive components:

• a 2.2 Ghz processor
• 4 GB of RAM
• a 320 GB hard-drive
• Wireless, Bluetooth, etc
• new Windows 7 OS

The 14″ LED display from Sony is one of the best available on the market and the chiclet style keyboard is extremmely comfortable to use even by those of you with longer fingernails, because each key is separated from the others (see the link bellow for more pictures). As for battery, this pink Vaio CW will be able to run for up to 4 hours, and that’s pretty decent.

Pink Vaio case

Since it has only a 14 inch screen, the CW is not too big or too heavy, although at 5.3 lbs you won’t be able to carry it on your bag. That’s why you would probably need a good case, and what can be better than the Sony VAIO Cushioned Carrying Case (the one on the picture to the left), specially  made for this device, good looking and durable. oh, and also quite affordable, as it’s available right here for $65.99 (might seem much, but remember this is not an ordinary case, but a premium one from Sony).

And speaking of prices, unlike most of the Vaios, the CW version is still affordable for regular users, as it only costs $799. Once again, this is not that cheap, but you can’t compare a Sony with an Acer or a MSI for example, considering the hardware you get, the looks and the incredible build quality.
